Pauline was rich, Twysden not so much. Hemingway took advantage of his wives wealth, to an extent, but he paid for his own boat and his Finca, he walked away from Pauline's fortune. You could criticize Gandhi and MLK for their behavior towards women as well, but I don't think it's fair. Relationships are complicated and private affairs between individuals, and you can't know the full extent of what is said between people. You are not getting his side. Even when you said Hemingway prevented Gellhorn from flying to Europe. This is a bias comment. He just did not help her. If she had the wherewithal, she could have flown first class. She was close friends with the First Lady. I appreciate your writing though, nonetheless
